Counselling and psychology are about self-fulfilment. They are about finding ways for you to help yourself develop and grow as a human being. We take the situation as we find it, and use experience and isnight to achieve a positive outcome. Counselling should be seen as part of a positive development in life, rather than merely as a response to some kind of trauma or distress.

I have developed my own form of counselling over the years which involves finding ways for the individual to have an insight into their own lives, so that they can fulfil their own potential. This is within a Buddhist framework, which seeks to guide human development towards its ultimate fulfilment.

Areas of counselling I deal with:

  • personal development
  • the general direction of your life
  • the search for meaning
  • changing lifestyles, changing careers
  • relationships
  • stress, and work-related issues
  • anxiety
  • fulfilment

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I began my training in the 1970s, in traditional psychotherapies; psychoanalytic and Jungian. I have several university degrees, including an MA from the University of London.  I have been counselling for over twenty years, counselling people of all ages, and all backgrounds.  I have also been employed in many different environments; I’ve worked as a builder, a musician, a teacher, a businessman, a researcher, a library assistant, and a house painter. I have a passion for the arts, and for sport I practice Shaolin Gong Fu.

I am very approachable, and if you contact me we can make a start on improving your life.
